Child Labour Scandal, Rocks Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

Recently, child labour scandal rocks Eket Local Government in Akwa Ibom State.The children, aged between 8 and 14, were employed as labourers, performing tasks such as operating heavy machinery and handling hazardous materials. 

This incident has sparked outrage among local residents and human rights activists, who are calling for stronger labor laws and enforcement to protect the rights of children. Also, the factory has been fined and ordered to improve its safety measures, thus hire adult workers. 

The children involved in the incident have been taken into protective custody and provided with medical care and psychological support as Government advises parents to pay attention to their children's need, as this can limit the level of Child Labour in Akwa Ibom State .
